We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter D.W.

13094/10329 of the 14th December, and beg that you will con-

vey our grateful acknowledgments to the Lords Commissioners

of the Admiralty for the valuable particulare conveyed

therein and the accompanying plan.

We are at present waiting to hear from the Colonial

Office with reference to the tenure of the land which we have

purchased with a view to the construction of the Dook, and if

their reply is such as to justify our proceeding with the

scheme, we will, with the permission of the Bords Commission-

ers of the Admiralty lay before them in due course particulars

of the Dock we decide upon.
